Even with all of the rain we have been getting, Lake McMurtry is still around 5 - 6 feet below normal. The water is around 65 degrees and murky to semi-clear in certain areas. Crappie are biting on minnows and jigs at 8 - 15 feet around rocks and brush structures. Largemouth bass are biting on crankbait, plastic baits, and spinnersbaits around 4 - 6 feet around coves, rocks, and shorelines.
