Kayak Attendant Job Description Kayak Attendant: Description: Enjoy Lake life and water sports? Lake McMurtry Friends is looking for a few kayak attendants this 2021 season! Kayak Attendants will be responsible for the upkeep and rentals of all kayak/SUP equipment along with the health and safety of participants. Kayak attendants will run the kayak stand in partnership with the bait shop and follow proper procedures when participants are renting or returning kayak/SUP equipment. Job Requirements: Kayak attendants will need to be able to work in the outdoor elements (specifically heat) for long periods of time and lift to 50lbs frequently. Basic knowledge of kayak and SUP equipment is preferred. Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid preferred but not required to be hired. Camp Coordinator Job Description Camp Coordinator: Description: Camp Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the camp director, helping manage camp staff, and act as a camp counselor. Camp Coordinator will assist with preparations before camp and with cleaning up equipment after camp. Responsibilities include but are not limited to drop off/pick up procedures, helping manage camp staff, leading STEAM activities, and instructing on general outdoor recreation. Camp Coordinator will also be responsible for any privacy/personal issues that might arise with the female camper population. Requirements: Camp Coordinator will be required to pass a background check, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and potentially lifeguard certification. Other requirements include being able to work in a variety of outdoor elements, lift to 50lbs occasionally, and driving work vehicles. Camp Counselor Job Description Camp Counselor: Description: Enjoy working outdoors and with kids? Join Lake McMurtry Friends this summer as a Camp Counselor! Counselors will be responsible for the care and teaching campers ages 7-12 a variety of STEAM activities related to outdoor recreation. Lake McMurtry Friends Adventure camp job dates will be Monday-Friday, May 24th-June 25th, 8am-3:45pm. Requirements: Looking for candidates with a passion for the outdoors, the camp experience, and teaching others. Counselors will be required to work outdoors in the heat and participate in a variety of activities such as kayaking, hiking, swimming, arts, and crafts, etc. Must be able to lift to 30lbs occasionally.
