Lake McMurtry is managed by the non-profit organization Lake McMurtry Friends Inc. whose mission is to enrich quality of life by providing opportunities to engage in sustainable outdoor recreation, environmental education and nature conservation. . Our hunting program promotes conservation and is regulated in a manner that is consistent with Oklahoma Department of Wildlife public hunting areas. Our hunters are required to record their harvest in an effort to allow lake staff to collect data on the waterfowl population. We have a great respect for our land and wildlife and we expect our hunters to uphold those same values while leasing a blind at Lake McMurtry.
