Mountain biking is a fun and exciting way to challenge yourself and get exercise. This two-hour course is designed to familiarize the novice with the equipment, skills, and techniques to help them to have a fun and safe time while mountain biking. We will cover topics such as “10 essentials of MTB gear,” “body position and BBS,” “bike fitting,” “ascending and descending,” “rolling over obstacles,” “efficient shifting,” and “braking essentials.” The class will involve riding a few miles along one of the beautiful trails here at the park, so be ready to ride. What to Bring: you will need your own bicycle, a helmet (required for riding the trails), water or something to drink while riding, and appropriate attire for cycling. If you have tools or other equipment, please feel free to bring it along.
